Oh God, why do you play with my emotions?

I don’t care what other people say, unlike comparing the 300D to the 10D, I believe the 20D is well worth the extra bucks they’re asking for (estimated street price of $1300)

The MarkII is still a dream at $4,500. But the 20D specs really hit the sweet-spot in terms of performance, features, and most importantly; price.

• 1/8000s Max Shutter speed
• 5fps Continuous speed
• 25 frame buffer
• EF-s support
• E-TTL II support
• 0.2sec startup time
• 50g lighter than 10D

What’s there not to love? Until the camera is officially announced, I’d still like to hope that some features will be thrown in as well – such as eye calibrated focus-point selection (which was included in the older EOSes.

Why did it have to hit this quarter? Such a cruel twist of fate, now that I plan to upgrade my PC, so now I’m torn with the choice of sticking with my Rebel, and getting a decent PC upgrade. Or sell it, and add to get the 20D. That 5fps buffer, E-TTL II and 0.2sec startup time really makes a big difference in “camera usability.” If I had the 20D I could probably take my photography in a professional perspective, without having the fear of producing “substandard” output.

I guess I’ll just have to cross the bridge when I get there.
