And for some webnews…
Guide to getting a laptopTom’s networking had this article on how to choose a laptop for daily use, and had mentioned an iBook along with the usual PC options. He actually chucked the iBook, to the probable dismay of the Mac cult – but just remember that he needed a “different type of machine” for his particular use. I still live by my mantra: PC desktop, Apple laptop :) The difference between writing and typingYeah, duh, I already know that difference. But this article shows a study that typing people think more. The article was pretty interesting and made some strong points. And I totally agree that writing, is just like reading real books… a matter of aesthetic preference and not so much as a factor which affects productivity. I like the latter part of the article which states:
This is very true (the latter argument I mean) that’s the very reason I prefer Logitech over a cheaper A4Tech keyboard/mouse system. Anyways, another aesthetic pleasure can be derived during my college days – I’ve always preferred my notes to be in the digital format for two reasons. One was if I had tried to jot down everything manually, the paper would look like I just had a stroke. Second was I liked to select points, and print those “edited” versions of my notes when a certain exam was coming… not that I really had to use them though, copying from seat-mates was much easier hehehehe. A Michael Jordan-bashing articleThough I enjoy the NBA, I’m not an avid viewer. But I just had to post this article for the sheer morbid curiosity of how my sister, and half-brother for that matter, would probably react to it. They love Michael! The man who couldn’t sleepAmazing. How could a human body actually go that long without sleep? Oh well, He might as well put up a 900 number and kill time talking to losers… at least he’d earn some extra cash. Traces of racismThis page shows pictures of places which paint a clear picture of how serious racism was in the early days. Pretty interesting to browse through. USB hackAs soon as I get myself a Multi-meter, I’m definitely going to try making one of these! |
