Constantine isn’t the best singer, but come on, anyone can see that he’s the most well-rounded performer out of all the contestants.

Simon, although brutal with his comments, has never missed the mark with his assessments. I believe that despite how he disagrees with Constantine’s “rocker” style, I don’t think he ever suggested that Constantine didn’t belong in that competition – and he’s absolutely correct.

But then again, the people decide ultimately… and it’s the same people that voted for Bush hehehe so I guess I can’t really say it is unexpected.

I just hope that fatass and/or stupid white kid are next. They deserve to be eliminated – not Constantine, not Anwar, and other performers before them.

I hope people stop voting based on popularity – but overall skill, character, and charisma. Not just because the prick grew up on the same country/state/town/block you’re in.

In fairness, I think Constantine’s last performance really sucked too. What the hell was he thinking? A Nickleback song with his voice? You’d have to be retarded to consider singing songs which are way different from your timbre.

I’d understand if it were a new arrangement or interpretation like what he did with My Funny Valentine, but he sang the song straight up – so all that is left to expect is to sing it the same way the original would do it. Suffice to say he failed misrably, and though it would be unfair to judge him with that single performance – I’m sure he’s feeling the consequences of his decision tenfold.

But I don’t believe that he should’ve given up rock – I’d bet he’d do well singing Queen songs. He just has to choose wisely. But I also agree that he fits better with the rocker-doing-standards angle – just like what Sting, Robbie Williams, et all did. But that’s all useless now since he’s out.

And if you’d allow me express a useless comment: I bet he’d seriously rock singing “Eye of the Tiger!” hahahahaha.

There are a lot of floating theories why Constatine was gone:

  1. AI’s producers set him up, because they were mad his own band signed a record deal.
  2. Scott pulled a “Jasmine Trias,” fueled by the “Vote for the Worst” movement. check out their website at http://www.votefortheworst.com.
  3. The home videos did Constantine in. Scott’s video came across as “All-American” “Average Joe.” Constatine’s came across weird. Some say his father looked like Lurch (from Adams Family?).
  4. Of course, there are the bettors and odd-makers in Vegas…

my two cents
