Hola from Taipei

So we’re in transit to Seattle, and we have a friggin’ 7 hour layover here at Taipei.

Lucky for us, we’re in the Business Lounge, where they have free food, WiFi and a game room full of XBox 360s! I’ll be trying them out in a while.

It’s been a fun travel day all things considered. Mom and I put dad in Business Class because of his condition, and we were in deluxe 1 Which is the median between regular coach, and Business Class – and just paid extra to be able to use the Business Class facilities while we wait.

We also put him in a wheelchair just for kicks. He is a senior citizen after all, and while he still can walk, he’s far from being “fit.” It’s amazing the level of “clearance” you get because of that.

Lovely day

Another productive day of work and some over-all “streamlining” of some aspects in my so called “life.”

I feel so much lighter now, and everything is much clearer. Amazing thing how you don’t realize how big a boulder is weighing you down, until you actually let go of it… Hopefully, things will run smoother the next time around.

Picked Cris up and helped ourselves to 80 bucks worth (20 sticks) UP’s famous isaw. As soon as we got home, we obviously had to start eating it before it got cold – we ended up having an early dinner because of it. More of a heavy merienda now that I think about it. We – actually, I finished about 18 sticks.

We then went jacket-shopping with Mom at in Shangrli-la Mall. I came home carrying an awesome leather jacket from Zara, for our trip to the US this Christmas (and of course for any other trip to really cold places). It even comes with a zipper-detachable “hood.” Pretty spiffy if you ask me.

What impressed me even more was the actual product bag they used. It’s like a disposable suiter, which can be folded and “locked” by plastic buttons… and it has a hook on the inside for the jacket’s hanger.

Overall, I’d say it was a lovely day.
