Just like the title says.

This song is dedicated to my girlfriend. The lyrics are really cheesy, but I thought trying to make it sound “ambiguous” would just make the message sound contrived – when what I wanted to convey was very simple and straightforward, and… well cheesy.

As usual, it’s already listed in the music page with the standard info, etc. You can also listen to it through this post via AJAXy goodness.

Heaven

Carlo Santos
For Cris

I
Have I met you; have I ever seen you before?
Why did it feel so right the second you walked through my door?
I had so much to hide… questions usually answered with lies.
What was I thinking when I chose to lay it all on the line!?

I never figured that the stains on my hands… was something you’d understand
You seem so grounded, yet similar to me – as I wished you would be

CHORUS
You wanna talk about heaven? Well baby, I can sympathize;
a place of happiness – beyond all pain and lies.

‘Lemme tell you ’bout heaven – baby, did you know it could mesmerize?
I see the truth in those words when I look into you eyes.

II
As I sing this song… I never realized that a woman could be so strong!
Now this armor of mine, which took quite some time to build, won’t last very long.
I need you! I want to feel you… oh God it’s driving me insane!
Heal me, baby – use my tears and wash all this sadness away.

BRIDGE
Cuz baby, come rain or come shine -
for you, I won’t mind waiting way down the line.
I know that these words can’t say enough -
but if time is the one thing that could prove it; then I will keep on waiting…

CHORUS

OUTRO
I know how to get to heaven,
I just wait for those moments that we share.
Then I’d look into those eyes… and I’m already there.
