The reprise versions continue… this time with the song “Fine”

As stated [verbatim] in the Music Section:

Reprise of the song “Fine” with the following changes:

  1. Re-recorded the guitar part with my Taylor T5
  2. Re-done bass track with hybrid of reason and T5 sounds (for the slides)
  3. Added electric guitar parts
  4. Re-done the vocal track with some lyric changes and added harmonies

What I meant by #2 was that I used the T5 as a bass (thanks to the GT8) for the slides then matched the EQ of the bass module in Reason to make it sound like a single instrument.

If you feel like it, compare it to the old one

Theme: Search for meaning / Enlightenment

I
It’s funny how we seem to have the time we always need,
to keep ourselves from thinking about the possibilities… that we refuse to see.

We fear the change of anything; afraid they’ll pull too many strings.
Now we’re lying in our beds without the strength to move ahead and realize:
“There’s something there for me.”

REFRAIN
But my vision’s ever clear.
And I never lost the fight to reveal.
Staring wildly at the flame.
Enduring all this endless pain.
Through shattered glass I’m freed.

I am staring at these shards of glass that lie on the floor and I look up;
hoping that my windowpane can take me to the horizon.
I’m feeling, and I’m seeing every little thing for what it truly is -
I seem to be content, but I’m not “fine.”

II
The signs are in the sky.
And as they as they race into our minds,
we check ourselves and say “Well it’s probably my imagination.”

It’s beyond me why we say “It would be best to move away,”
when there’s so much more to gain.
I know we’re all afraid, but it’s useless just to wade and test the water.
(I’m here to take the plunge)

REFRAIN

When I look in your eyes I see so clearly the day you walk with me.
Wishing for that day would be close as tomorrow (or better yet; today)
I’m hoping, and I’m praying, and I’m waiting, and looking for roads with clearer signs…
needing just the promise, and I’ll be fine.

And my visions ever clear, I have nothing left to fear.
So take my hand and come with me, abandon all uncertainty.
We see the way it should have been, no need to move away again.
Take that plunge, take that step – no regrets!

And I’m hoping and I’m praying, and I’m looking for signs that will show my place in life…
needing just the promise, and I’ll be fine.

This one definitely mas gusto ko yung bagong version. Mas flowing ang dating. Galing, parang studio recording shet.
