Half-Life

There was a picture that made waves in the internet showing how Gordon Freeman (of Half-Life fame) would look in real life. The personality of choice was none other than Hugh Laurie.

Half-Life, for those of you who don’t know, is an FPS1 by Valve wherein you play a scientist named Gordon Freeman. Now the reason why we geeks have a soft-spot for characters like him (aside from HL being an awesome game to begin with) is quite simple:

Mr. Freeman is not a soldier, nor a highly trained assasin. He is a scientist… an unassuming scientist who was lucky enough to get into a bio-suit that “enhanced” his abilities; allowing him to, quite literally, save the day.

So I guess the bottomline for the geeks is that he is shining example that that no matter how lame a person you are, you still can do marvelous things if you put your mind to it (well and that we all secretly wanted bio-suits of our own… ok fine, I wanted a bio-suit of my own.)

Anways, back to the picture; I don’t think I could ever top that… but I’ve had this nagging feeling that wouldn’t go away - there’s another person who might make the shortlist as well aside from Dr. House.

I think I’ve found him… tell me what you think:

Both of them have their own appeal so I’m sure the ladies wouldn’t mind either… because there’s no such thing as ladies who know about Half-life hehehe.
